🔴BREAKING: Fire at Wexford General Hospital thankfully finally under control as the entire facility gets evacuated

No fewer than 100 patients were evacuated from Wexford General Hospital following a fire at the facility this afternoon.

It is understood that four wards, including the ICU, had to be evacuated. There were no reports of any casualties.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

A major emergency has been declared at the hospital with some 207 patients in the process of being evacuated.

The fire has been brought under control but there is extensive damage to parts of the roof area and upper floors, including water and smoke damage to wards.
