Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner have announced that one of their newborn twins has sadly died.
Posting on Instagram, they said they are “devastated” at the loss of their son and called it the “greatest pain that any parents can feel”.
“It is with deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” said the message on Sunday evening.
“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
The social media post, signed by Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez, finished by saying: “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
