It’s understood that one man in his early 20s and three women in their teens have been confirmed dead after the crash that happened on Mountain Road in the town around 7:30pm.
It’s understood the car lost control going down the road and overturned. The road remains closed with local versions in place for a forensic examination that will take place later today.
It’s understood that the women had received their leaving cert results and that they were on their way to a party to celebrate. Gardaà are appealing for witnesses to contact them a Clonmel Garda station with dash cam footage.
