Gardaí have confirmed that a man aged in his 80s has sadly been killed after being hit by a car in Mountshannon, Co Clare.
The pedestrian was struck by the car at 7:45pm with the R352 road immediately being closed.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage to contact them on 065-684-8100 or the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
