A woman in her 50s has died after struggling while swimming at a beach in Co Wicklow.
Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 12:30pm at North Beach in Greystones after three swimmers were reported struggling.
Three women in their 50s were pulled from the water.
One of the women was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has since been taken to the Loughlinstown morgue, where an autopsy will be carried out at a later date.
A second woman was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, while the third woman was treated at the scene by paramedics.
