🔴BREAKING: Gardai release the names of the four victims of Friday night’s crash in Clonmel

Gardai have released the names of  the four victims of Friday night’s crash in Clonmel, Co Tipperary as Nicole Murphy, 18, from Ballypatrick, Zoey Coffey, 18, from Kilsheelan, Grace McSweeney, 18, and her 24-year-old brother Luke McSweeney, from Clonmel.

The three young women had all received their Leaving Cert results earlier in the day and were on their way to meet friends for a planned Leaving Cert party.

Two of the females attended a local secondary where they just had received their Leaving Cert results, while the male had attended a separate local secondary school.

Gardaí have confirmed that for young people have lost their lives in a horror crash in Clonmel County Tipperary on Friday night.

It’s understood that one man in his early 20s and three females in their teens have been confirmed dead after the crash that happened on Mountain Road in the town around 7:30pm.

It’s understood the car lost control going down the road and overturned. The road remains closed with local versions in place for a forensic examination that will take place later today.

It’s understood that the women had received their leaving cert results and that they were on their way to a party to celebrate. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them a Clonmel Garda station with dash cam footage.
