?BREAKING: Government approves legislation that will see vaccine passport system run for Indoor hospitality until October




The Government have approved a new legislation that will see a vaccine passport system being used for indoor hospitality.

It is understood the new system which will allow fully vaccinated people to enter a premises will run until October initially.

However the Government have a provision that will allow the legislation to be extended beyond that date.

Under the new legislation people who have evidence of vaccination or immunity will be allowed to enter premises such as restaurants and pubs.

The legislation will also allow minors to accompany their parents to a premises provided social distancing is maintained.

However the legislation won’t cover all aspects of indoor hospitality as it is not required for areas such as community centres.

Meanwhile those who are found to be in breach of the vaccine passport legislation by using forged documents will face a €2,500 fine.
