Brave CervicalCheck campaigner Lynsey Bennett has died at the age of 34.”, it’s been announced by her family.
In a statement, her solicitor Gillian O’Mahony said that Ms Bennett passed away peacefully on Thursday night.
“Lynsey was a very special person,” the statement read, reports RTE.
“Lynsey’s beautiful girls, father, sisters, family and friends are heartbroken at the passing of Lynsey at the young age of 34 years and would appeal for privacy at the moment.”
The mother-of-two young children was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2017, following the alleged misinterpretation of smear slides.
