?BREAKING: “Hold firm” – Holohan says things stabilising as Department of Health announce 1,427 new cases




People are advised to “hold firm” in the coming weeks to continue the trend of stabilisation in Ireland’s fight against the Delta variant.

The Department of Health have announced 0 new deaths of people with covid-19 and just 26 people in ICU around the country.

Along with that, they’ve announced 1,427 new cases of the viral flu. However, strikingly, the department of health say that daily case numbers may change over time due to so-called data reviews along with validation and future updates.

The total number of people in hospital is 164 and the number of people in ICU has not changed, standing at just 26 people around the country.

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has told people to avoid crowds as he claims the Delta variant is rampant in large crowds, however the CMO says that things are beginning to stabilise with the 7 day moving average staying around the same for the first time in a number of months.
