
A cyclist in his 40s has died after a hit-and-run incident in Co Kildare.
Gardaà believe the incident, on the R445 Dublin Road, occurred between 10.30pm on Thursday and 12.30pm yesterday afternoon, reports RTE.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Naas General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R445 between Kildare Town and the roundabout at Junction 12 of the M7 between those times to come forward, reports RTE.
Those who were travelling in the area during this time and may have camera footage — including dash-cam or mobile phone recordings — are asked to make that footage available to investigating gardaÃ.
