One of Ireland’s peacekeeping heroes Sean Rooney has been laid to rest.
The 24-yr-old member of the Defence Forces was killed in action in an ambush in the Lebanon last week.
The funeral took place on Thursday morning in Dundalk, Co Louth after which it made its way up to Donegal.
Representatives from across the political spectrum and defence forces attended the funeral Mass.
