Met Éireann has issued a yellow status ice warning for the whole country.
People are advised to be extremely careful if they’re walking or driving and are advised to tell others.
The warning went into effect at midnight on Christmas night and lasts until 10am this morning.
The national meteorologist said there will be patches of ice this morning making for dangerous driving conditions, particularly on untreated roads and trails.
People are asked to share this information with their friends and family who’ll be out today.
