US President Joe Biden is speaking live in County Mayo this evening concluding his four-day visit to Ireland by visiting his roots in Ballina in County Mayo.
Thousands of people gathered in the city to watch his speech, with music from The Coronas, The Academic and Chieftans performing for the last time.
Biden visited Knock’s shrine this afternoon, where he met the priest who gave his late son Beau the last rites.
Biden also visited the Mayo Roscommon Hospice, where he was shown a memorial plaque for his late son.
No doubt the visit will bring much needed tourism to the West after the pandemic.
