In what has been described as an incredibly warm and touching tribute to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles said that he will do all he can to lead the the Royal Family and now that he is head of State.
The 74-yr-old announced that Prince William and Kate are now the new Prince and Princess of Wales.
He said that his wife Camilla is the new Queen Consort.
King Charles finished by thanking his mother for her love to their family and to the family of nations.
He wished her well on her final journey to be with his father at their resting place.
