A young man has lost his fight for life after he was brutally assaulted in an attack on Saturday night involving up to 10 people.
The 29-yr-old victim was staying with relatives in Monasterevin, County Kildare, when he was seriously injured.
At this point, Gardai believe there was an argument with a group in a building in Dublin Road, before the matter escalated and spilled onto the streets outside the premises.
It’s understood that the people concerned were in the area up from County Limerick.
It’s understood that the young man died in hospital on Monday afternoon.
