Two people have tragically died in a small plane crash in Co Down.
The accident occurred shortly after 8pm at Newtownards Airport.
The tattered wreckage could be seen burning as firefighters sprayed water on the plane.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said no patients had been brought to the scene.
A spokesman said they received a 999 call at 8:21pm after an incident was reported on Portaferry Road in Newtownards. Two rescuers, a doctor and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
No further details have been made public at this time.
