?BREAKING: Pubs and restaurants to close at 8pm instead of 5pm

It’s understood this evening that the hospitality sector has been given a new closing time of 8pm rather than 5pm, as insisted by NPHET.

There had been consternation over the 5pm closing time with many social media users saying that house parties would take over if that was the case.

Micheal Martin will address the nation shorlty after 6pm.

Earlier, the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET)’s crusade to decimate the hospitality sector in Ireland rages on.

The latest development is that they consider January 30, 2022, as the earliest date to lift the 5pm curfew. Likely, this deadline would be extended just days before it expired, for full effect.

As always, this advice is purely motivated by a drive to ensure the total destruction of the sector, as the guideline does not make any sort of scientific sense, unless NPHET actually believe that viruses only roam after 5pm.
