Panic stations are starting to emerge around the centre of Kiev as the Russian army makes major inroads into the Ukrainian capital this afternoon.
It’s understood that a large fleet of Russian military is just 25km from the city, a key stronghold for the Ukrainian defence force.
Over the past number of days, it’s been speculated that Russia was going to launch an all-out attach on the capital, but they seemed to have played a coy game leading up to such an event.
It’s believed that the coming days will see Russian troops descend onto the city in an effort to capture it and gain control of the Ukrainian capital. If that happens, it would be a total gamechanger in the conflict and many believe that it would effectively see Russia controlling the country.
