?BREAKING: Singer Terry Hall has died aged 63 following short illness

The singer Terry Hall has sadly died aged 63, his original band, The Specials have confirmed.

The singer found fame in the 1970s and 80s with hits like Ghost Town, Gangsters and Too Much Too Young with the band The Specials.

He left The Specials in 1981 to form Fun Boy Three with fellow-bandmates Neville Staples and Lynval Golding, and had many other hits.

The singer died after a brief illness, The Specials said in a statement.

 Tributes have already started to pour in on social media.
