Molly Martens Corbett and her father Thomas Martens have been sent to prison by a judge in North Carolina for the manslaughter of Limerick man Jason Corbett.
Judge David Hall sentenced both defendants to prison time of 51 to 74 months respectively.
When taken into consideration time already served of 44 months, they will serve extra time of between seven and 30 months (about 2.5 years).
39-yr-old Jason Corbett was beaten to death at his home in North Carolina in August 2015.
