Sadly, we can confirm that the Irishman attacked by a migrant in Belfast has lost his left eye with surgeons fighting to save his right eye.
Absolutely atrocious injuries from a Sudanese migrant who attacked the Irish man on Monday night around 10:30pm.
It’s understood that the Irish man remains in intensive care with severe injuries around his eyes, face, neck and back.
More protests are planned in Belfast today following those that were seen across the city last night.
