Local authorities at Heathrow Airport are today trying to ascertain how a 12-year-old boy managed to get through security alone and actually board a plane without a ticket.
The boy, believed to be Dutch, boarded a flight to Los Angeles and was only detected when a cabin crew member asked to see his boarding pass.
The boy then refused to say where his luggage was, which meant all bags had to be cleared through security again, causing a four hour delay. The young fellow was eventually escorted out of the plane by security.
