The PSNI have launched a full scale murder investigation after the discovery of a man’s body in a car boot in South Belfast over the weekend.
It is understood that that the body was discovered in the Windsor Road area of South Belfast. Police say they have arrested a man and a woman both aged in their 20s and are being currently questioned by officers. Detective Chief Inspector John McVea has said investigators from the PSNI are also examining a scene at the Church Gate apartments in the Mill Street area of Comber.
Mr McVea made a brief statement appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any activity in the area saying: “I appeal to anyone who was in or around the Church Gate Studios late last night or earlier this morning and heard a disturbance or noted any suspicious activity to contact detectives at Newtownards 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111,” he said.
