A woman was arrested after being accused of biting a doctor at the University Hospital in Sligo.
According to an Irish Times, 24-yr-old Nicole Chambers, of Collooney, in Sligo, was charged with assaulting a doctor at Sligo University Hospital at 7:30 am Saturday morning.
She is charged with assault causing harm and for breaching public order.
Ms. Chambers appeared Saturday afternoon before a special session of the Sligo District Court during which judge Kevin Kilrane detained her until next Thursday.
Justice Kilrane stated that a “zero tolerance” position should be used to protect front-line workers and that these workers can trust court protection.
