The HSE announced on Saturday evening that there was 553 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another 33 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 8,928 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 128 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 1,717 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 107.
It means that as of ~Easter Sunday morning, there are now 10,645 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
