A Derry man was sentenced to 15 years in prison over the death of a three-year-old boy who was suspected to have had autism.
Kayden McGuinness suffered 15 bruises on his scalp and died of inflammation and bleeding in the brain.
Tragically, the young boy was found dead in bed in his family home in Derry in September 2017.
25-yr-old Liam Whoriskey was found guilty of manslaughter and cruelty by a jury before the city court.
He will serve half of his sentence in prison and the other half in the licensed community.
