A 3-year-old girl is critically ill in hospital in Queensland after she spent six hours in a school bus in 29 degrees heat.

According to the Metro, Nevaeh Austin was collected from home on the school bus at 9am and was taken to Le Smileys Early Learning Centre in Gracemere, near Rockhampton in Queensland.  It is alleged that she was found on the bus.  Early reports suggested that she had allegedly been “forgotten” by staff.

Luckily, paramedics managed to revive the little girl at the scene.  She was then rushed to a hospital where she is said to be in a “critical, but stable” condition.

An investigation will now take place into the incident so that procedures can be put in place to ensure that this never happens again.
