5.3-magnitude quake hits Greece -no casualties reported




An earthquake measuring 5.3 in the Richter scale has struck in the Mediterranean country of Greece.

Local authorities confirmed that the quake occurred at a depth of around 14km, with its epicentre located in the Gulf of Corinth, about 200km northwest of Athens.

There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Quakes are relatively common across Greece, but they rarely cause significant damage.
