A six-year-old boy has been injured in an incident involving a car, it is understood he was struck by a car on Cross Avenue just before 2pm.
The boy was brought by ambulance to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, and later removed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital where he is continuing to receive treatment.
It is believed that the driver of the car was uninjured. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anything to come forward.
