A 6-yr-old girl was so worried about being late for school that she ran in front of her school bus and was killed. Sophia Irehata died in Conroe, Texas, on Tuesday after she thought that her school bus was about to leave without her. The little girl ran out in front of the bus in an effort to get on board, but her driver did not see the child and tragically the bus fatally struck her. Devastated family members explained that the bus had been late to pick up Sophia that morning.
Her father said that he would take her to school instead. But the bus stopped as the family prepared to leave, with Sophia desperate to get on board. Her grandmother Canderaria Zabala told Click2Houston: āThe bus was late is what the dad told me. The bus was late and he said, āYou know what, Iām going to take you to school insteadā. āSo he had the baby with him, the one-year-old and took her in the house and Sophia was out here and her older brother went in the truck and in a blink of an eye. I guess she thought she saw the bus, sheās going to run over there.ā
Tributes have been paid to the little girl with relatives saying she was a lovely child and is now in Heaven.
