Investigation underway following 6,000 chickens killed on a farm in Tyrone




Police in the North have confirmed that approximately 6,000 chickens have been killed following a fire at a farm.

It is understood the chickens were killed after a fire broke out at a farm on the Crosscavanagh Road, which is located just outside Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

Police investigating the incident say eight units from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

They added that the fire is believed to be an accident.
