A powerful, 7.7-magnitude quake has struck off the coast of Chile, prompting local officials to issue a tsunami alert.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) pinpointed the quake’s epicenter at a depth of 20 miles, 25 miles south west of Puerto Quellon.
There are no reports of deaths or injuries, but this is a developing situation.
