It has been reported that an estimated 70,000 music enthusiasts attended this weekends Slane concert in Co Meath.
The infamous concert which is usually held every year got underway yesterday afternoon with Co Cavan band the Strypes kicking off proceedings. Although weather conditions were not great with rain forecast for most of the concert, those who braved the horrendous conditions were however rewarded with performances from the Kaiser Chiefs and Hozier before headline act the Foo Fighters took to the stage.
The concert has also been deemed a success with no reported incidents at this years event.
