An 83-year-old man who was jailed in February this year playing blaring music from Classic FM has died while in prison. Ian Trainer from Liverpool was jailed for 24 weeks in February this year for violating a condition of a restraining order.

But he was detained again after continuing to break the order when he was released. In 2019, the pensioner received an injunction prohibiting him from playing a sound at a volume above the normal conversation level between 9am and 10pm.

The Prison Service confirmed that Ian trainer has unfortunately passed away while in prison. A spokesman for the prison service said: ‘HMP Liverpool prisoner Ian Trainer died in hospital on 23 November. ‘The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman has been informed.’

There was no reason as to why the elderly gentleman passed away. Reportedly, he just loved to play music and couldn’t wear earphones because they irritated his ears and that at the time of court, he deeply denied the allegations saying that they malicious lies.
