9 decent, concerned citizens charged in connection to Ballyogan migrant plantation centre




A demonstration outside a Ballyogan asylum camp in south Dublin has resulted in charges of public order offences against five men and four women, according to the Dún Laoghaire District Court, reports RTE.

The nine, who range in age from 20 to 60, were taken into custody following an altercation at Ballyogan in Carrickmines last evening.

Eight are accused of violating the public order. Additionally, one individual is accused of having a knife.

Three of the accused are from Co Carlow, one is from Coolock in north Dublin, another is from Usher’s Island in the city centre, and six of the accused are from the nearby Dublin 18 and Dublin 16 neighbourhoods, reports RTE.
