Gardaí have launched an investigation after a baby from Co Louth was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The girl, believed to be a nine-week-old infant, was reportedly injured in the Drogheda area and taken to Temple Street on Tuesday night.
The baby remains in critical condition.
Gardaí said they are investigating all the circumstances that led to the girl’s hospitalisation are are understood to be considering a criminal investigation into the matter.
