A Northern Irishman has become a viral hit in recent days after he helped carry a woman to the finish line of this years Boston Marathon.
The man who has been praised for his sportsmanship firefighter Terry Canning from Omagh, came to the aid of fellow runner Julianne Bowe when she was suffering from exhaustion just 200 meters from the finish line.
However rather than just leave her there Terry and another competitor showed their class by linking an out on her feet Julie in order to get her to walk again, but as she began to pass out Terry took the lead and decided to pick her up and carry her the rest of the way.
What a true gentleman.
