A murder investigation is underway after the body of a woman was found in Dundalk, County Louth. An autopsy has been carried out on his body after he was killed in an attack on a Bridge Street home on Wednesday night.
Results will not be released for operational reasons, the Gardaí said. The woman was about 60 years old.
The crime scene remains sealed off for technical investigation tonight.
Gardaí is asking for witnesses, particularly those who were in the Bridge Street area on Wednesday afternoon and evening to contact them on the Confidential Line 1800-66-61-11.
