Private business are stepping in where the Government failed to act, by organising and holding a fundraising ball on behalf of the Simon Community in Cork.
The 18th Cork Simon Annual Fundraising Ball will be held at Fota Island Resort next Friday. Business leaders from across many sectors of the Irish business landscape are expected to attend.
It is hoped that the event will raise upwards of €90,000, and the funds will be handed over to the Simon Community charity in Cork.
