A number of Enoch Burke’s family members will be excluded from his review of contempt hearing

Several family members of Enoch Burke will not be present during the review of the teacher’s ongoing refusal to leave Wilson’s Hospital School in County Westmeath next week, according to a High Court judge, reports Breaking News.

Sean, Martina, Isaac, and Ammi Burke were ordered not to attend the High Court on Friday due to their disruptive behaviour, which included them yelling and screaming in front of the court on earlier occasions, according to Mr. Justice Mark Sanfey.

The court stated that it was ready to permit the Burkes to attend the hearing if they were willing to provide guarantees not to interfere with the hearing of Enoch Burke’s case the following week.

If not, the judge stated that plans would be made for them to watch the proceedings through a video link, reports Breaking News.

The Burke family members had been invited by the judge to submit comments to the court about their planned exclusion.

The court was informed that Enoch Burke and all four of them had voiced significant objections to their expulsion.

Dr. Isaac Burke, a family member, appeared in court and made the case that he, his sister, and their parents ought to be permitted to attend the hearing, reports Breaking News.
