Police in the North have confirmed that a number of people have been hospitalised following a road traffic collision in Co Antrim in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that the occupants of two vehicles required hospital treatment after they struck a horse on the Lisnevenagh Road in Ballymena, Co Antrim at approximately 4am.
Although thankfully no person was seriously injured in the collision police have confirmed that the horse sadly died.
Police also say an investigation is currently ongoing.
