The weather has thankfully been mild and will hopefully remain that way for as long as possible – either way, cold nights will inevitably be here over the coming weeks and months.
A one-off €400 fuel allowance to be paid before Christmas has been confirmed. Those households currently receiving the Fuel Allowance will be entitled to this payment.
According to the Government, the payment will likely be issued in November.
