The popular revolt against water charges inflicted grievous damage to the government’s blatant attempt to extort more money out of its citizens.
It has emerged today that water charges will be suspended six weeks after a new government is formed, as part of a new deal struck between the parties.
The suspension will nominally last for nine months, but the charges are likely to never return, unless the government that does so wishes to self-destruct.
