There’s some tragic news from the seaside town of Bettystown, Co. Meath today after a woman died in a house fire.
The fire happened at a house on Castlemartin Avenue in Bettystown shortly after 9:30am this morning.
A woman, aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the screen by emergency services.
Her remains have been removed to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan where a post-mortem will take place.
Fire services are investigating the cause of the fire.
