The homeless man has been named as 39-yr-old Paul Gorman and his body was found in a trolley bay of the Longwalk Shopping Centre in Dundalk, Co Louth by a member of staff at Tesco.

The discovery of Mr Gorman’s body was found literally hours after the body of Mariusz Ejdys was found in an abandoned mill in Buncrana, Co Donegal on Thursday evening. It is assumed by authorities that the Polish man’s dead body was also as a result of the freezing conditions.

Mr Gorman is said to be originally of Lennon and Melia Terrace, Dundalk, and he leaves behind his partner Kathleen and three young children.

GardaĆ are not treating the death as suspicious and are opening an inquest into the man’s death.
