An 11-yr-old boy was tragically killed this morning when he was cycling to school at 9:15am on the Old Dublin to Galway RD at Marshbrook, Co. Offaly.
The boy was struck by a car on the road and tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident when emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident.
The road remains closed and gardai have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 057-9327600 or the confidential line on 1800-66-61-11.
