The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has issued a warning to Dublin residents as 133 cases were reported in the capital in the past 24 hours.
Speaking this evening Dr Glynn urged the public to keep their contacts as low as possible.
Glynn’s announcement comes as there were 231 cases reported across the country in the past 24 hours.
However thankfully there were no further deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
