Aer Lingus flight forced to return to Dublin aiport this morning due to technical problems

Flight EI 490, bound for Faro in Portugal, turned back shortly after take off due to an unspecified technical fault on board the aircraft.

Emergency services were put on stand by as a precaution, but the crew managed to land the plane safely. The passengers will continue their journey later today.

This is the third time in a week that an Aer Lingus flight is forced to return to the airport.
