Aer Lingus flights makes emergency landing at Cork airport after cockpit fills with smoke

Aer Lingus Flight EI3701 from Birmingham was forced to make an emergency landing at Cork airport after smoke drifted into the cockpit.

The plane, a twin-engine ATR-72500 turboprop, landed safely just before 10am, with emergency services on the ground on stand-by.

There were no reports of any personal injuries among passengers or crew.
