Yet another case of a heinous crime being committed against a child by an asylum seeker is making headlines again Germany.
African migrant Seydou N. (27) from Niger, is currently standing trial accused of the brutal assault and rape of a nine-year-old girl which allegedly took place earlier this year at the Elbwiesen nature reserve in Dessau-Roßlau Bild reports.
Prosecutor in the case Julia Legner details how the migrant approached her on his bike as “the girl was there in the morning with her teddy under her arm to play in the meadow.”
He attacked her and threatened to kill her before raping her.
This latest case follows the incident in July when another African migrant threw an eight-year-old boy under a train killing him and also attempted to throw his mother and another man under a train as well.
This followed the high-profile case in which an Iraqi migrant Ali Bashar raped and murdered a 14-year-old German girl before fleeing back to his native Iraq. After he was retrieved he was found guilty of the rape and murder of Susanna Feldman but intends to appeal this conviction.
These incidents sparked a renewed debate surrounding Germany’s open borders policy towards mass migration from the Third World.
Since Chancellor Merkel’s decision to open the country’s borders to millions of unvetted migrants from the Middle East and Africa in 2015 there has been a sharp rise in anti-social behaviour and violent crime particularly against women and children.
